Help for Event Update
| Tips for ongoing events | |
If you run an ongoing event, the best place to post the
event is in the Ongoing section.
Select one of these choices under the When field: Sundays,
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays or Other.
In the description field describe the specifics, such as "every Tuesday",
or "last Friday of the month".
If your event is on more than one day, select Other,
and describe your event as on, for example, "every Monday and Thursday".
| Tips for publishing your organization's schedule | |
You can publish events on the public calendar, your organization's calendar
or both.
The Viewlevel field lets you choose where to publish your events.
To display your organization's calendar, use this link,
substituting "xxxx" with your idorg:
http://www.jewishnetwork.com/u/event.asp?idorg=xxxx
You can use this link on your website, emailings or cut and paste
the information.
| Tips for trips, conventions, courses, leagues and special events | |
If you are running a trip or other special event that people need to
know about in advance, select Special in the When field.
This displays the event in the Special section
where people see only the special events.
Since there are a limited number of special events,
people will be able to see your event in a timely manner.
If you do not do this, your event will only appear in the Upcoming section.
If there are a lot of events, and your event is not for a while, your event
may be buried on a page far down the list.
People may not see your event until the week the event takes place.
| Tips for national and international events | |
If you are running a trip, convention or other event that you want
people all around the country or world to see, select Travel in the When field.
This displays the event in the Travel section where people all over the world look.
This also shows your event in the Special section in your local area.
This is free.
If you do not do this, only people in your area are likely to see your event.
